About Us

Vision

Through transformation of our highly successful GCRC at USC and satellite Unit at CHLA, one of the largest programs in the nation, we will provide the CTSI and CTSI researchers the ability to translate important discoveries of novel therapeutic, diagnostic, and mechanistic approaches to improve health and health care for the diverse Los Angeles urban population. We will serve as the nexus for clinical testing and for the training of new clinical investigators in an environment of unparalleled participant, staff, and community diversity.

Mission

We will transform clinical research through our newly expanded and renovated Clinical Trials Units at USC and CHLA by providing important new services for clinical researchers and greater opportunity to translate laboratory discoveries; by promoting studies in community settings; by providing assistance/training in Good Clinical Practices and standards of ethical conduct of research; and by providing financial resources through the CTSI Pilot Grant Program.
